Our Commitment to a Vibrant, Sustainable, and Inclusive Estate

A Unique Place in Transformation

Since acquiring the estate in 2022, our vision has been clear: to transform this unique place into a space open to its region, combining biodiversity preservation, heritage enhancement, and environmental education.

Spanning 135 hectares of meadows, forests, ponds, and waterfalls, along with a castle and numerous buildings, this estate represents an exceptional natural and cultural heritage.

To understand, preserve, and bring it to life, we have undertaken significant research and diagnostic efforts.

In-Depth Knowledge of the Site

From our first steps on the estate, we sought to understand all its dimensions:
  • Its natural heritage (meadows, forests, fauna, flora, water)
  • Its built heritage (historic buildings, hydraulic systems, landscape elements)

We work hand in hand with experts, study offices, companies, and associations to ensure a rigorous and respectful approach to the site.

Key Actions Already Undertaken or In Progress

  • Naturalist Inventory:
The Conservatoire d’Espaces Naturels (CEN) has identified and mapped 9 types of meadows present on the estate.
  • Sustainable Forest Management:
With the help of a forest manager, we have developed a management plan for the next 15 years, ensuring the sustainability of the woodlands.
  • Protected Natural Reserve:
Hunting is strictly regulated, permitted only for scientific or regulatory purposes, to preserve ecosystem balance.
  • Partnership with the Groupement Ornithologique Normand (GONm):
This collaboration aims to better understand the bird populations present, adapt our management practices, and contribute to the area's naturalist knowledge.
  • Hydraulic Network Study:
The estate features 4 interconnected ponds linked by a complex network of canals, ditches, and masonry aqueducts. Water management is central to our project.

  • Built Heritage Under Scrutiny

We have launched a comprehensive architectural assessment, including:
    • 3D laser and geometric surveys
    • A health diagnosis of each building

These surveys enable us to better understand the site’s built history and prepare for its restoration with precision and respect.

    Our Objectives

    • Preserve biodiversity by respecting natural balances
    • Raise public awareness of the richness of nature and environmental issues
    • Enhance a rare heritage by creating a vibrant place where nature, culture, and history converge

    This Is Just the Beginning…

This diagnostic phase is a key step in building our project to open the estate to the public. It lays the foundation for a sustainable future for the estate and its land.
